In the small Mesagne, a village in the Apulian hinterland in the province of Brindisi, we find one of the oldest taverns in the town. We are talking about the Osteria del Leone, a beautiful old-fashioned inn located in the heart of the historic centre of Mesagne, a stone's throw from the cathedral and along the main street. The Osteria del Leone offers a familiar atmosphere, with these simple tablecloths and cutlery, grandma's centrepieces, and glasses all different from each other, just like when you eat with your grandparents. A traditional cuisine from Puglia, Salento, is made of simple but exquisite ingredients. The menu welcomes all that Puglia has to offer, guaranteeing the absolute quality of the products, processed and pampered by the chef, son of the owner, giving a family atmosphere inside and making the Osteria del Leone a place to return to gladly.
